The Dream Proposal
The weekend started out to be a typical weekend, with the exception of Sean’s special “boys-day-out” trip to the local golf coarse with some buddies. While he was away, Katie decided to get some things done around the apartment before binge watching “One Tree Hill” episodes on Netflix.
Little did Katie know that the day wasn’t just about a golf game….Sean had made arrangements to swing by Shane Co. before returning home.
On a side note, anyone who is close with Katie & Sean, know that they’re classified as “those” type of pet parents who are mildly obsessed with their adorable cat. When Sean decided it was time to “put a ring on it” he knew that the perfect way to ask for Katie’s hand was to include their pseudo child in the proposal.
Upon arriving home, Sean found Katie intensely caught up in her show, and despite his small efforts to slyly get her attention, she was too focused on the tv screen. Finally, in between episodes, Katie noticed Sean with their fur-baby, who was sporting little red ribbon tied around its neck, with a sparkly shiny object dangling from it.
Suddenly, she couldn’t focus on ANYTHING BUT SEAN, THE CAT, AND THAT RING!!!!!! OMG!!!! To this day, neither one of them can recite, or even remember the words that came out of Sean’s mouth, but all they care about is that Katie said YES, and their “Happily Ever After” was underway!
What was your favorite wedding day memory?
I think the standard response is the ceremony… Ours was beautiful, and I’ll remember it always. We managed to steal a private moment right afterwards, when my BEAUTIFUL but painful shoes had to go. Sean and I ran into the reception hall and he helped me change out of them into flats. It was an “us” moment that is really what the whole day was about!
how was allegro entertainment?
Allegro was WONDERFUL! Dori is an angel, and made sure everything was exactly what we wanted, and DJ Eric did a fantastic job keeping the party going. We had a full dance floor all night!
where did you go on your honeymoon?
We enjoyed a romantic and relaxing get-away to Riviera Maya, Mexico. We stayed at Secrets Silversands, and our “first date” out as a married couple was a wonderful dinner on the beach. During our vacation, we even took a day trip to swim with dolphins! It was so great to have “us time” and just relax together.
how’s married life?
So far, it’s just like engaged life 🙂 We’ve gotten to spend time together and reminisce over our perfect day instead of counting RSVP’s and choosing linens. Wedding planning was so fun, but it’s nice to just enjoy each other as hubby and wifey!!
