Tell Us Your Proposal Story! How/Where It Happened…

At that point, Michael was living in Kansas City, and I was living in Omaha. For my birthday, he told me we were going on a hot air balloon ride (a bucket list item for me). So I came down to Kansas City for that weekend and was so excited! It was supposed to be a sunrise ride on Saturday morning. However, around 5am that morning, we received a call that our ride was postponed due to it being too windy and was rescheduled for Sunday evening as a sunset ride. I had guessed Michael was going to propose, so I was obviously upset because if it happened Sunday evening, I would have to leave immediately afterwards to drive back to Omaha. Ends up he had a back up plan, and he drove me to the Scout statue in Kansas City for sunrise, a lookout point over downtown where he had taken me on our first date. He proposed there, and the rest is history! We even went on a celebratory hot air balloon ride the next evening!

What Was Your Favorite Wedding Day Memory?

The best part was being at our reception and dancing with everyone – it was wonderful to be surrounded by all of the important people in our lives and to see them having so much fun! Special shout out to our wedding party for learning the “Git Up” with us the morning of our wedding!

Where Did You Go On Your Honeymoon?

We took an amazing trip to Europe! We flew into Rome and spent a few days there, then drove up to Cinque Terre (a coastal national park in Italy that is BEAUTIFUL!). After that, we spent a day at Lake Como in Italy, followed by a few days in Swiss National Park (again, beautiful). We drove down to tour Neuschwanstein, a castle in southern Germany, then spent a couple days in the Austrian Alps before circling back to Rome to fly home. It was an unforgettable trip with lots of hiking and exploring!

Tell Us About Your Experience With Allegro Entertainment…

Allegro was so easy to work with! As neither of us were living locally and had different work schedules, they made it easy to coordinate phone calls for meetings to make sure everything went smoothly. Even now 6 months after our wedding, we still receive compliments on our DJ – how he played great music, listened to what the guests wanted to hear, mingled with the guests, and kept the dance floor packed all night! Thank you so much for everything!

Post Wedding Update – Tell Us About Married Life….

Married life is great! We now live in Kansas City and have time to spend together and with friends without having to worry about wedding planning. We spent lots of time walking, running, and biking together whenever we can, along with many trips back to Washington, MO to visit our families.
